In the event that this is impractical, please ring the HEMA Navigator Support team for more details.

Q.   The altitude reading in various parts of the software does to seem to be accurate. Is something wrong?
A.   Not really. Altitude readings in most in-car GPS systems should be taken with a "pinch of salt". This is a result of the way the GPS system works. Search Google for more info on this phenomenom.

Q.   What offroad maps are on the Navigator when I buy it?
A.   Click HERE to open a PDF file showing a map key. This gives you a graphical representation of the maps pre-installed on the Navigator.

Q.   Is the HEMA Navigator HN5i compatible with a Mac?
A.   The HN5i and it's associated software is not compatible with a Mac. It is possible to run Mac applications such as "Bootcamp" or "Parallels" that will allow the installation of a licensed version of Windows on a Mac. This would enable the installation of the relevant HN5i software. Note: The use of Windows emulation software on a Mac is not supported by HEMA.

Q.   The screen calibration is out on the HEMA Navigator as it registers the screen tap in the incorrect position. How do I fix this issue?
A.   To overcome this issue, on the main menu of your Hema Navigator, tap 'Tools' (spanner icon), tap System, tap Sys Info, then finally tap Calibration. The calibration screen will be displayed. Tap precisely on the middle of the white cross-hairs at position 1. The white cross-hairs will then move to position 2. Tap the white cross-hairs at position 2 and repeat until reaching position 5. Once the calibration at position 5 has been completed, the Sys Info screen will be automatically displayed again. Use the back arrow to return to the main screen.

A.   Only genuine HEMA Navigator HN5i 12v car chargers and 240v mains chargers can be used. Use of non OEM chargers may result in damage and a voided Navigator warranty.

Q.   Can the 12v car charger cable be cut to facilitate hard wiring of the charger into a vehicle.
A.   The charger cable cannot be cut or modified in any way. Damage caused by a cut or modified charger will result in a voided Navigator warranty.

Remove the Micro SD card from the Navigator and place in an SD HC compatible card reader. Copy your media files from the computer to the relevant folder, located in the Media Files folder on the micro SD card i.e. MP3 files get copied to the MP3 folder.

The media player, Text or Photo viewer on the Navigator will automatically search the SD card for the relevant files and display the SD card as a folder called SDMMC.

Click on the SDMMC folder, click on Media Files then the required media folder i.e. for an MP3 file click on SDMMC>Media Files>Mp3. The MP3 files previously copied to the SD card will be display

Tap the required file to start playing or to display. If using the MP3 player, it will step through the available MP3 files or can be set to repeat.

Note: the MP3 or Video players should only be used when no navigation programs are being run. Using the players while a navigation program is running will cause slow performance of the navigation program.

    iGo Primo Questions

Q.   The iGo primo User Guide on the website shows the startup wizard running when you first start iGo on your Navigator, but it didn't happen on my Navigator. Why is that?
A.   The Navigator is setup prior to shipping and this has already been done for you. You can re-run the startup wizard at any time from the More Menu > Settings screen.

Q.   I went through a Red Light / Fixed Speed Camera or other alert point, and iGo didn't trigger an alert. What's going on?
A.   iGo Primo has "smart" alerts. For example, if the speed camera is only facing one way at an intersection, and you drive through the other way, the alert is NOT triggered.

Q.   The Altitude seems to be stuck on one reading, either in the on-screen display, or in the trip monitor.
A.   This will most likely be addressed in a future iGo Primo update. A workaround is to put the Navigator into sleep mode, and then wake it up while iGo is running.

Q.   Some alert points don't trigger a spoken alarm. Is anything wrong?
A.   iGo Primo only gives spoken alerts when using a TTS (Text To Speech) Voice. Not all alert points trigger spoken alarms.
